Remind "180in30" Intensive
Remind "180in30" Intensive
180in30 is an intensive, in-person 2-day program followed by 8 accountability and support check-ins which happen twice per week.
Remind is a straightforward, comprehensive system that allows you to identify your limiting beliefs and consciously undo them in thirty days. The effectiveness of this approach is based on reframing your reality in the most organized way possible. It is the most efficient technique to understand and adjust your own thought process because it's methodical and doesn't require you to know in advance where your issues originate.
Remind is effective for people both with and without obvious trauma in their past. The method doesn’t focus on traumatic events, but rather on minor experiences from developmental stages of your life that have significantly impacted the way you understand the world around you, including traumatic events in your life, if and when they have occurred. Through following a formula, Remind enables us to pinpoint the exact experiences that have had the most influence over each major decision in your life to date, without aiming whatsoever in advance.
The reason you don't naturally process life in this formulaic way is because the more we experience a particular emotion, the higher tolerance we develop for that type of experience. Until the threshold of stress is reached, individuals don’t realize there is a problem to address at all. We cope with problems instead of proactively addressing the internal cause of our discord. Coping tools can be effective for addressing existing stress, but understanding some of the basic laws of interaction between people provides us with a framework to internally manage past and present situations in a way that prevents us from becoming victims of our anxiety, often before it manifests.
180in30 is an intensive, in-person 2-day program followed by 8 accountability and support check-ins which happen twice per week. You should not schedule any other commitments during the in-person portion of the program as the days can be long and the process is intense. It is most effective when done on consecutive days. The follow-up phone calls aren't necessarily teaching you anything new, but are vital to keeping you on track and ensuring the healthy formation of your new way of thinking. This new perspective can be jarring as you shatter your former reality, and the semi-weekly phone calls ensure that you remain focused on your goal of maintaining your new level of clarity.
To begin the program, you identify one major "challenge" that you are facing in your life. Due to the exhaustive nature of the process and the depth we explore in one sitting, it does not matter which challenge we break down because they all lead back to the same roots. For example, whether we begin with an issue in the workplace, a romantic relationship, or a concern about your future, the end result will look much the same because we address the deepest causes of stress that impact all areas of your life. Together, we explore the selected issue using three variables and a simple formula: A=E*C (Action equals Emotion times Certainty.) We simply take the information you already know and delegate it into the corresponding variables. Although the process is straightforward, there are many layers to address in order to construct a comprehensive understanding of your issue. This is done over the course of a day with several breaks built-in to maintain mental clarity and avoid emotional fatigue.
Guidance is necessary to ensure that each item is categorized correctly. Sometimes we confuse emotions with input that is separate from them. For example, the phrase "he's a bad father" would not fit into this equation as-is, and would be separated first into a set of facts and actions regarding this person, and then placed into the "certainties" column of the formula. When the certainties are also actions (such as "he moved our family to two different cities within the same year when I was 7 years old" is an action), we will repeat the breakdown process for each action, delineating the emotions and certainties from the doer’s point of view at the time the past event occurred. These action trees inevitably illuminate the key events from your memory that subconsciously have influenced your thought process throughout your life. We do not analyze these issues directly; instead, our priority is placing each element in the proper column, so it can be clearly understood in relation to your personal meaning-making at the completion of the process.
On the second day, we review the expanded sub-equations we have plotted out and you will be able to view oft-overlapping areas of your life with a clarified perspective as we fill in the emotions column. Without learning any new information, you will be able to understand each key interaction you've experienced in more depth. All of this knowledge is already in your subconscious, but by separating it clearly you will be better equipped to identify the pieces that are contributing to unnecessary pressure in your life.
We also revisit the key principles that make up the formula (A=E*C) and review situations in which they can help you apply your new understanding of your own life. You will begin to comprehend your ability to change your perspective on a situation in the moment. You will realize that experiencing a negative action from someone else means you are experiencing their negative emotion combined with what is true for them in the moment, and you will appreciate that it is your responsibility to not suffer in response to such situations.
Finally, you will learn how to apply the primary principles to your life moving forward. Once you have a clear understanding that discomfort about situations is created by your mind (rather than by external stimuli) you walk away feeling enlightened. The challenge, however, is that we humans are creatures of habit and changing the way we process information takes time and effort. In the eight weeks following our two-day session, we will cultivate your internal reframing with accountability training and personalized tools to overcome any self-doubt you may encounter.
What you end up with is an enriched view of life where you feel empowered and confident in taking full responsibility. Your leadership skills grow, you develop a level of compassion you've never experienced in the past, and you can see how your specific path – past, present, and future – has value in the world as a whole. Every decision you make can be simplified when viewed from your new perspective of emotional responsibility, regardless of the stakes. I look forward to sharing this life-changing experience with you.
Once you order your sessions you will be contacted for scheduling. All sessions are using online video communication services such as FaceTime, Google Meet and Zoom.
